[movies]1954 ''I Married Joan'' - ''The Clothes Budget' - (NBC-TV, Light Comedy)
A 1954 episode of the NBC Television Network sitcom "I Married Joan" entitled "The Clothes Budget". Possibly the most jumpy, confusing, and at times sloppy episode of this series, though it's still funny. The series is very similar to "I Love Lucy" (1951-1957), which itself is similar to "Mary Kay and Johnny" (1947-1950). A moderate success, it lasted 3 seasons but never made the Top 20. Annoyingly, this is an edited print.

Another episode of the 1950's Television series "The Adventures of Ozzie and Harriet", complete with original commercials for Eastman Kodak.. The show was reasonably popular, but like "The Flintstones" and "The Brady Bunch", the show never ranked in the Top 20, presumably because ABC-TV was a minor network at the time. In this episode, David wants to buy a motorcycle, but his parents think it's a bad idea...

[movies]Classic TV Comedy: ''Burns and Allen'' - (Title: Gracie's Vegetarian Plot) (1951)
Another episode of the early TV comedy, "The George Burns and Gracie Allen Show". This episode features a common plot used in early TV, the "crazy fad diet" plot. The show was quite popular, though ratings charts from the period are inconsistent and unreliable. This is reportedly Episode 23 of Season 1, aired 2nd of August, 1951 (my source may be wrong). Complete with Original Commercials. This live broadcast has fairly poor picture quality (my DVD copy is poor).

[movies]''Burns and Allen'' (Episode title: ''Too Much of the Mortons''?) (Possibly Aired: 5th July 1951)
Another example of 1950's Popular culture, in this case an episode of "The George Burns and Gracie Allen Show" possibly called "Too Much of the Mortons" and possibly aired the 5th July, 1951. In this show, Gracie plays her trademark ditzy character, George plays the straight-man, while Bea Benaderet and Fred Clark play an unhappy married couple (though they are happier here than in some other episodes)...

[movies]Classic TV: ''Ozzie and Harriet'' (Episode Aired 4 June 1958)
An episode of the popular United States television series "The Adventures of Ozzie and Harriet", with original commercials for Eastman Kodak. [movies]Classic TV Comedy: ''Burns and Allen'' - (Episode Title: Teenage Girl Spends the Weekend)
An episode of the early television comedy "The George Burns and Gracie Allen Show". This episode is presumably from 26 April 1951, judging by the cast. Sweet, light, and with some moderate historical value (such as the brief reference to "jump records"). Complete with original commercials for Carnation Evaporated. Episode title is unclear, as the episode has been called both "Teenage Girl Spends the Weekend" and "Visiting Teenager"...

Perhaps not as good as "Citizen Kane", but still a million times better than MTV's new fall line-up. [movies]1950's Television: ''You Bet Your Life'' - Secret Word: Voice
An episode of the hugely popular 1950's Television series "You Bet Your Life", featuring the comic talents of Groucho Marx. A "comedic quiz show", much of this program's humor was improvised, although Groucho usually would have a very basic idea on who would appear each episode. Like most 1950's quiz shows, it wasn't rigged, but the scandals involving "Twenty One", "Dotto" and "The $64,000 Question" caused ratings to decline...
